Cookie Policy
Legal · last updated 22 August 2026
The short version: this site is free because of advertising. No advertising cookie is set before you say yes, refusing is exactly as easy as accepting, and you can change your mind at any time from the link in the footer.

1. What this page covers
“Cookies” here means cookies and any equivalent technology that stores or reads information on your device — local storage, device identifiers, pixels. Under EU and UK rules (Art. 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC; in Spain, Art. 22.2 of Law 34/2002) anything that is not strictly necessary needs your prior consent.
2. What is actually used on this site
a) Strictly necessary — no consent needed
| What | Set by | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| Consent record | The consent tool | Remembers what you accepted or refused, so we do not ask again on every page — and so we can prove your choice | Stored on your device by the consent tool; clearing this site’s cookies removes it and the banner asks again |
| Security and delivery cookies | Our CDN / host | Routing your request, blocking attacks, serving the correct version of a page | Session to short-lived |
Without the first one we could not remember that you said no — the banner would come back on every single page.
b) Advertising — only with your consent
| Provider | Domains | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdSense and its advertising partners | googlesyndication.com, doubleclick.net, google.com | Choosing which ads you see, measuring whether they were seen and clicked, limiting how often the same ad repeats, and detecting invalid traffic and fraud. The consent banner also asks, on behalf of these partners, for permission to use precise geolocation data — you can refuse that on its own under “Manage options” |
The full list of advertising vendors, with what each one does and how long it stores data, is shown inside the consent banner itself — open it from the footer link and choose “Manage options” / the vendor list. That list is maintained by the vendors, so it is more accurate there than any copy we could paste here.
c) Things people expect to find here, and that this site does not use
- No Google Analytics, no Microsoft Clarity, no other audience measurement tool.
- No social network buttons or embedded trackers.
- No third-party call from the calculators. Metal prices are downloaded from this website, not from the price provider, so no outside company learns that you used a calculator.
d) One thing you switch on yourself: “Remember this on my device”
The coin calculator has an unticked checkbox called “Remember this on my device”. If you tick it, the coin counts you entered are saved in your browser’s local storage — on your own device, under this website’s own name. Nothing is sent to us, it is not a cookie, it is not shared with anyone, and it carries no identifier. Untick the box or press “Clear saved counts” and it is gone immediately. Clearing your browser data removes it too.
3. What happens when you accept, and when you refuse
- If you accept: you get personalized ads, chosen partly from what your browser has done elsewhere.
- If you refuse: nothing on this site is taken away from you. Every calculator, every lookup and every article works exactly the same. You see ads chosen from the page you are reading rather than from your history. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google serves these as “limited ads”, which do not use cookies or local storage to select or personalize what you see; storage may still be used to detect invalid traffic and fraud, which is a security purpose, not an advertising one.
- There is no cookie wall. We will not ask you to accept, pay, or leave.
4. Changing or withdrawing your choice
- On this site: use the “Privacy & cookie settings” link in the footer of every page. It reopens the consent banner with your current choices, and you can change any of them.
- Wherever you are: refusing in the consent banner applies to everyone, not only to visitors in Europe. “Do not consent” is offered to every reader of this site.
- In your browser: you can delete cookies and site data at any time — Chrome · Firefox · Safari · Edge. Deleting them makes the banner appear again.
- Directly with Google, for every site: Google Ad Settings · YourAdChoices (US) · Your Online Choices (EU).
5. How long your choice lasts
Your decision is stored for a set period and then we ask again — consent is not meant to last forever. You can bring the banner back before that at any time with the footer link.
